design process
Client Questionnaire:
A client questionnaire will be emailed to you. We want to know everything about the scope of your project; from budget, scale of project, the colors you love to any special needs you many have.
Client Consultation:
Courtney will come to the space and review the project scope with you. Being in the space lets Courtney understand the function, existing style and scale. Courtney will be taking pictures and measuring for the floor plans and furniture selections. This step is not needed if doing a new build.
Mood Boards:
We will ask for your Pinterest board and collaborate with you on our own to come up with some inspirational images that fit your style and your aesthetic. The point of the presentation mood boards is to get on the same page for overall direction of the project and gather design ideas. These mood boards will be sent to you electronically and presented to you in person.
Design Presentation:
After finalizing the concept design of your space, Courtney will present to you all finishes and cut sheets of the project such as cabinets, hardware, faucets, sinks, lighting, rugs, fabrics, furniture, etc.. Courtney will have all the finish selections for each space. We walk you through and review the space with every design detail. We answer questions, concerns and take notes on what you may want alternate options on.
Project Management & Implementation:
Once the finishes are approved, we organize and send to your contractor or builder. Our team orders all the finishes, prepare invoices and gather specification sheets for all items approved in design. We work closely with the builder/contractor to know the quantity of materials to buy.
Furniture Design Presentation:
A furniture board will be presented with finishes such as fabrics, wood and metal finishes. For new builds, 4-6 months is highly recommended to insure all the furniture is installed on time. You will get to see the color scheme, textures, style of furniture and overall layout of the space with the furniture selections.
Site Visits:
Courtney will be walking the space to make sure the construction is in line with the project vision. She will check the progress of the project and talk with the contractor for any revisions needed or questions answered.
Ordering:
Upon approval of your furniture, we will proceed with ordering. We will have a detailed spreadsheet of all the information such as vendor, manufacturer, specification sheets, lead times, shipment and tracking information. Invoices will be collected and reviewed upon ordering. The receiving warehouse inspects each piece for damages.
Install:
This is when your house becomes a home! We show up with a design team, handymen and movers to install all aspects of your home, from art, curtain rods and furniture placement.
